PEE & POOP

Leicester, Massachusetts (SafeCITY) - Michael S. Hussey, a 51-year-old well-known Massachusetts public defender/attorney-in-charge was jailed after he was allegedly driving while intoxicated, and covered in his own urine and feces, minor details that he begged to be left out of the police report.

Apparently, deputies thought it was too funny not to be known.

According to Leicester police, officers had been alerted by a store clerk that a man believed to be intoxicated and appearing to have urinated on himself stopped and asked for directions at a local convenience store. It was reported that he left in a red Saturn around 12:45 a.m.

About an hour later, an officer began to follow a red Saturn as it pulled out of a Cumberland Farms convenience store and began to head east. The officer noted that the driver was swerving and pulled the vehicle over. When Hussey exited, he was clearly intoxicated and had defecated and urinated on himself.

Investigators say Hussey could not perform the field sobriety tests. He was taken to the station, where he was given breathalyzer test. He reportedly registered a .215, over twice the state's legal limit of 0.08. He was allowed to clean up, given a new change of clothes and placed into custody.

Hussey was booked into jail on charges of driving while under the influence. He was released after posting $40 bail. He is due to appear in court on for a pre-trial hearing.

While officers were preparing Hussey's release papers, he stated that he would plead guilty to the charges against him and asked that the embarrassing elements be omitted from the police report. Officers denied his request.

This is not Hussey's first drunk-driving incident. In 1994, he was suspected of driving under the influence, but was not charged in the case.
